Read poetry
Prospective actors need to read the poem aloud in front of their friends. The benefit is to train the vocals to become accustomed to changing their tone of voice as a result of changing feelings in various situations. Changes in the tone of voice due to changes in feelings will naturally be accompanied by changes in facial expressions. Maybe it will also be accompanied by movements of the limbs naturally, especially the hands.
Imitate Animal Movement
Prospective actors mimic the typical movements of various animals. When imitating an ape, the movements of its limbs, facial expressions, and voice must be like apes. If reading poetry prioritizes vocal training, then mimicking these animals is the main target of movement. This exercise is of course very useful for actors to act (acting) on the stage playing the character entrusted to them.
Imitate People’s Movement
Prospective actors try to imitate someone they already know. Even better if the person who is imitated is also known by his friends.
If his friend can guess the person who is mimicked, then the way to mimic it is good. The ability to imitate is very important, because what the actor does on the stage actually mimics the character he plays.
Laugh and Cry
The aspiring actor tries to laugh constantly until he can actually laugh if he wants to laugh. Likewise, the aspiring actor needs to try crying as if he is having a sad experience.
Likewise, potential actors need to try as if they are angry, hopeless, surrender, or something else. With training like this, it is hoped that someday it can be used to portray the character who is sad, angry, and others.
